Prior to September 2013, Mason was a typical, healthy, active and fun 7-year-old.  His life was filled with outdoor activities, friends, sports and family.  When he began to have some troubles with his eyesight, we were encouraged to get an MRI.  That MRI revealed every parent’s worst nightmare, a tumor on his brain stem.

The next 3.5 years included 2 major brain surgeries, proton radiation, chemotherapy and more medical appointments than any kid should have to endure.  There were glimpses of hope during this time and he was even able to return to many of the activities that he enjoyed.

The final turning point came when Mason’s motor skills began to deteriorate, genomic testing confirmed his tumor was a glioblastoma.  Just a few days shy of his 11th birthday, Mason’s battle came to an end.

  • Medical Support: Offering grants and funding for medical treatments, therapies, and equipment that are crucial for the well-being of our young warriors.

  • Family Assistance: Assisting families with travel expenses, accommodations, and other necessities to ensure they can be by their child’s side during treatment.

  • Memorial Assistance: When a child goes to Heaven too soon, our Memorial Assistance extends a compassionate hand, helping to cover funeral and burial expenses. We want to ensure families can honor their child with the love and dignity they deserve at this difficult time.
